Jessica never imagined she’d return to Lancaster after joining the Army right out of high school. However, life has a way of coming full circle. After decades away, Jessica found herself back in Lancaster in 2018, shortly after beginning her transition. Driven by a desire to create the accepting environment she wished for in her youth, Jessica quickly became a local activist and advocate for the LGBTQ+ community. This work ultimately led to the opportunity to work closely with Lititz Chooses Love (LCL), an organization that embodies the mission she had long hoped to see in action, initially offering support in HR and policy development.
As the Director of Human Relations, Jessica is dedicated to nurturing and sustaining the organization’s positive, affirming culture. Her goal is fostering an environment where everyone can thrive, ensuring that the leadership model remains collaborative, and that Lititz Chooses Love can sustain its mission.
Jessica’s guiding philosophy reflects her commitment to creating lasting change: “We can change the world one positive, inclusive interaction at a time. Alone our lights may have limited reach, but together our light can chase away the shadows.”
